St. Paul’s Cathedral have suspended joint legal action with the Corporation of London against protestors.
The move comes following the resignations of Canon Giles Fraser last week and the cathedral’s Dean, Graeme Knowles, yesterday.
Occupier Wail Qasim said on hearing the news, “the church’s move is a culmination of their own internal debate and is just a part of the discussions happening in and around the camp,”
“Thankfully they have now chosen to be a more active part of this discussion and not join in with the Corporation of London’s threats of eviction.”
The Corporation of London is still planning to serve eviction orders later today.
