OccupyLSX Protesters Outnumbered by Police at US Embassy

November 15, 2011

OccupyLSX protesters took their placards and message to the US Embassy today – and were met with a very heavy police presence.

Occupiers went to the embassy to protest the actions against their fellow occupiers in New York City earlier today, where police forcibly evicted Occupy Wall Street protesters.

Officers claimed to be present in order to prevent ‘serious public disorder’ and were stationed at all entrances surrounding the entirety of the adjacent Royal Park, preventing any form of public access.

Police heavily outnumbered approximately 30 protesters who gathered to make a political statement in response to unprovoked Police aggression in New York where the NYPD acted illegally to forcibly remove occupiers, wilfully destroyed private property, and arrested and bared access to the press, in an act since condemned by the U.S Supreme Court.
